A year of sustainability progress
A large number of initiatives, big and small, brought Duni Group closer to the net zero goal. During the past year, Rexcell initiated an upgrade of the drying unit at our paper mill, and sustainable transport methods were tested in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Solar panels were installed in Thailand, charging stations in Bramsche, Germany and a new lightning system in Poznan, Poland.
The Group continues to reduce the proportion of fossil plastic in the products. In 2023, Dining Solutions launched an expanded range of premium fossil-free, compostable Bio Dunisoft® napkins and Bio Dunicel® table covers, both with bio-based binders.
BioPak Australia won several awards during the year for its fiber packaging and reported strong growth. In Europe, several fiber-based products for take-away were launched, as well as reusable products in line with new Swedish legislation.
Circularity is a key issue, and Duni Group aims to become circular at scale by 2030.
